What do we provide?  What do we offer to our people?  We offer the opportunity to work with different clients that have different issues, different problems that need to be solved.  So you can be working with a telecommunications company, with a bank, with an industrial conglomerate, with a private equity house.  You can be working at the large end of the marketplace, you can be working in the middle market, you could be working in the private client sphere, and you can work in different specialisations as well.  So you can work in international tax planning and transactions, indirect, social security, customs duty, business tax services – there’s lots of different areas within the business that people can find an opportunity to experience something different, either from a technical point of view, or from a client-facing point of view.  And I think that really is a huge difference compared with the type of environment people find in industry, where they will be working basically doing a similar sort of thing to a similar sort of deadline, basically on a daily and a weekly basis.

I’ve worked on a number of different clients.  I can’t obviously give details of who, but giving you the profiles, I’ve worked on a large Australian bank that has a very big presence in the UK, I’ve worked on a UK-based private equity house that is acquisitive, is looking at new transactions.  I’ve worked for a very, very large UK-listed business that is in the FTSE 100, that has a global reach.  So I’ve worked in a number of different settings and environments, literally within the course of the last working week.
